Acrylic Landscape Painting

I wanted to paint a beach scene, but the process for this was very long. The first thing I had to do
was draw where wanted everything to go on a black piece of paper in black maker. Then I just started panting. the first thing I painted was the sky. This was very difficult because I had blue and orange as my color scheme. after I was done with the sky, I then put down a long piece of masking tape across the canvas for the ocean. I then did the same for my sand. The next thing I did was paint my rocks. they were also very hard to do. I mixed blue and black to get the darkness I wanted for the rocks, then added white for coverage. Getting the right placement down was very hard. Lastly I did the waves. they were the easiest of this painting. I used my finger and I sponge to pint them on. I the sponge to spatter the waves on the rocks to make them look like there crashing against them.

Ceramics Project

This was one of my favorite projects. The process for this was also very long. I really wanted a flower looking bowl. So the first thing I did was fold a piece of paper up, so when it un folded it would be a circle. Then I cut it into my flower shape. It took me many time to get it just right. the next thing I did was get a big piece of clay and flatten it till it fit my paper. Then I used a small knife to cut around my design. Then I smoothed my clay and sat it in a bowl. The next thing I did was smooth the in inside. Then I got the top of a marker and started making prints into it. After it came out the kennel, I then got red clay and painted the border, the dots I made, and the slits I made in the center. After that we put the gloss on. it smelled like fish and was white at first. but after some more time in the kennel it became clear and made the ceramic look amazing. My bowl can serve many purposes. like eating out of or just sitting something in it.

Pastel Still Life

This was a very fun but difficult project. I knew I wanted to do something with nail polish. My plane for this project it to make my still life's and three dimensional as possible. The first thing I did was draw a thumbnail sketch. A thumbnail sketch as a small, quick sketches that record ideas and information for a final work of art. I drew everything in a white pastel first, then went over it in actual color. To make everything look 3 dimensional, I put highlights in the corners to show where the light was coming from. also I rounded the shape of the nail polish bottles to show that they were circular. Lastly I added the shadows on the sides and on the table.

Escher

This was one of my favorite drawings. I drew it from a two point perspective. I really love plants and flowers so I wanted to put that in that the drawing some how. After I finished with the building that's what I did. I put in giant plants all around the building. I shaded the said of the building to show were the light was coming from. Lastly for the back round, since Escher was my inspiration I put a checker back round.

shading

I picked this drawing because I believe I did a surprisingly good job on the shading. The assignment was to draw all these shapes and the shadows of them. Shading is my favorite thing to do when I'm drawing. I included all the different shads from black to white. It took me sometime to get the shapes right the way they were set up. But after that it all became pretty easy.
